SNAPSHOTS FROM TAHOE

I meant to post these photos last week, but this moving thing is really getting the best of me. I have so many photos from Lake Tahoe that I decided to split them up into two posts. While most of our friends skied or snowboarded, my friend Jacqui and I wandered around taking photos of the gorgeous scenery. Her boyfriend grew up nearby so he was also a very handy tour guide. While I've been to Lake Tahoe before, I've never been in the wintertime and I must say it was one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen. The sky is the most unreal shade of turquoise and the way the light hits the lake and the mountains is pure magic.

BONNE ANNÉE

Happy new year my friends! I just got back from Tahoe and while it was very hard to leave, I am quite thrilled to be back sleeping in my own bed. Now that the holidays are over it's time for me to get serious again about finding a new place and tackling my ever growing inbox. Have I mentioned how excited I am about this new year ahead? Lot's of big changes are on the horizon, some scary and some welcomed. What are you most looking forward to about this new year?

I am very much looking forward to the wintery change of scenery and of course spending time with some of my oldest friends. My wardrobe is seriously lacking in cold weather clothing, so I'm crossing my fingers I've packed appropriately.

Hello my dears. Happy monday to you! Life and work have been crazy busy, which to be honest I'm thrilled about, but I'm having a hard time keeping up. I'm heading home on friday for the holidays and I have about a zillion things I need to accomplish before then. Happy Monday! This weekend I got to sneak off to the desert for one night to see Divine Fits with friends. It was a seriously incredible show, which I'm sure had something to do with being so close we we're practically on stage. It was so much fun that I'm not feeling quite ready for a new week just yet. How was your weekend?

BUNDLE UP

1. Team Jacket $178
2. Wool Biker Jacket $198
3. Toggle Coat $295
4. Wool Wrap Coat $650
5. Samantha Coat $350

Even though it's far too hot in LA for a jacket or coat, I can't stop thinking about them. It might have something to do with recently finalizing plans to spend New Years in snowy Lake Tahoe. I realize it's a while away, but it'll be the first time I've seen snow in four years so I'm extra excited.

KNOCK ON WOOD

1/2/3/4

For many of you it's getting cold enough to start cozying up by the fire. I love the way firewood looks stacked inside the home. It not only keeps the wood dry but it's perfect for city dwellers who don't have access to a backyard. Would you try this look at home, or do you prefer to keep your wood outside?

HEAT WAVE

Loving these new looks from Madewell (If only my braid could look like that). We have been having a crazy heat wave in LA with temps in the 80's, which already has me thinking of springtime outfits and pastels. I know, I know, most of you are still dealing with 40 degrees and below. Any of these pieces above would effortlessly work for winter too, don't ya think?
