Sweeter. Silk Flowerveil Top $135

Happy Monday! I'm loving all three of these silk tops from Madewell. Such interesting patterns and colors. I could see myself wearing each one come fall. Which is your favorite?

How was your weekend? Mine was spent mostly running errands and trying to get my life organized again after being away. It was completely worth taking the week off for my birthday, but  now I'm paying for it with a major to-do list.

Sweet. The Peep-Toe Sidewalk Skimmer $98
Sweeter. The Sidewalk Skimmer $125
Sweetest. The Manuscripts Mini Wedge $148

Happy Monday! I'm headed to New York City in less than a month to celebrate a very big birthday, so I've been searching for both chic and comfortable flats. You can never have too many of those, right? Even if I go out in heels in New York I've learned to always bring a pair of flats in my purse, just incase.

How was your weekend? Mine was super low-key, but lovely. I spent most of it cooking at home, catching up on work and watching the olympics. I'm not much into sports but I do love the summer olympics. Don't you?

Loving these new looks from Madewell (If only my braid could look like that). We have been having a crazy heat wave in LA with temps in the 80's, which already has me thinking of springtime outfits and pastels. I know, I know, most of you are still dealing with 40 degrees and below. Any of these pieces above would effortlessly work for winter too, don't ya think?

Right now I am drawn to anything in the tone of falling autumn leaves. I just can't get enough rust, burnt orange and cognac. I am an earth sign after all. These colors feel so rich and comforting. They also look so chic paired with brights like cranberry or teal. What colors will you be rocking this fall?

I woke up to an email from Madewell this morning alerting me of their summer sale going on now. I checked it out online and there are so many things I've had my eye on. I thought I would share some of the sweetest sale items. But hurry, because items are going fast. The slouch sweatpants I've been lusting after are already sold out. Sigh.

Hope you all had a lovely 4th of July! I'm on Martha's Vineyard and it is so lush and gorgeous. The weather has been perfect. When I am on the island I can't help but notice the preppy New England look, the J Crew catalog look-a-like, I sail and play lacrosse in my free time, salmon pink wearing style. At least half the Island dresses that way and I must say, I kind of love it. You never see that in Los Angeles. The other half of the Island is a mixture of styles, a little hippie, a little Jackie O. and a little sporty. Here is a round up of Martha's Vineyard inspired fashion and accessories from all sides of the island...

Hooray! Madewell has finally launched their online shop! They had been promising a online site and they delivered. No need to schlep to Century City or Glendale to shop Alexa Chung's line for Madewell this fall. Now you can do it from home. Here is a sneak peak of her Fall '10 collection...

Hmm, noticing a lot of socks and heels!

Here are a few of my current favorite Madewell items...
