SPRING IN MY STEP

Is it just me or does it feel like spring has sprung? The weather in LA, although windy, has been really quite lovely. Most years it feels like we completely skip spring all together and jump head first into summer. I have always been more of a spring/fall gal. I love in-between weather. It allows for interesting layers and breezy sunny days. Yes, this weather is suiting me just fine. You might even say I have a...

IN THE NUDE

I can't seem to get enough nude these days. It's the perfect neutral- it pairs just as well with bold colors like citron and orange as basics like black and white. It's a must this spring and it's popping up just about everywhere...

SPRING PLEASE

Somehow it's March already, but it sure doesn't feel like spring is on it's way. It has been down right cold in LA the last few weeks. In some ways I am totally enjoying this cooler weather. It's given me a chance to pull out my winter coat I don't get many chances to wear and have cozy fires in my fireplace. On the other hand, I just really want to start wearing pretty dresses and going for picnics in Griffith Park. So spring, please get here soon...

ONE DRESS // TWO WAYS

The weather in LA has been gorgeous- so when I stumbled across this dress, I immediately saw myself wearing it on a sunny Saturday, roaming the farmer's market with an intelligensia in hand...

PALM SPRINGS WEEKEND

I am off to lovely Palm Springs for a friend's birthday this weekend. I've had lots of fun times there this past year, for example here, here and here. The weather says mid 70's for this weekend- Yes please! I am so ready to get out of town, soak up some sun and lounge in a heated pool. Here are some Palm Springs perfect outfits straight out of my dreams...

DANCING QUEEN. 70'S STYLE

Another look I am excited about for spring is reminiscent of 70's icon Jerry Hall at Studio 54. It's a little bit disco, but updated. Flowy skirts, big hair and bold eyes were key. You can tone down the look with these peachy finds...

BLUE JEAN BABY. 70'S STYLE

1970's inspired denim was another trend all over the  spring runways {like the swoon worthy Derek Lam show}. Bell-bottoms and high-waisted jeans are a trend I can totally get behind {like here and here}. Anything to look like my super chic mother from the early 70's.
