SWEET STYLE. 50's BIRTHDAY PARTY {II}
Later on Saturday night we went out by the pool of the Chateau Marmont to snap a few shots and found Pierre, a gorgeous white cat who I believe belongs to the hotel. What a life! It was very Breakfast at Tiffany's. Later I had a little photo shoot with the girls on the couch, and then had my camera commandeered by Mr. Bochco (who took some real beauties. Thanks Jess!). What a fun night! I keep looking over the photos and reliving it all...

SWEET STYLE. 50's BIRTHDAY PARTY {I}
There were so many amazing photos from Lauren's birthday, I had to split them up into two posts. So come back tomorrow for more fun 50's photos!
As for my outfit, I decided to wear pieces I already had in my closet, like my Joan costume from two Halloween's ago. Yes it's a little more early 60's, but I thought I would make it work. I threw on some jewelry I already owned with a few added F21 pieces, my favorite, classic peep-toe pumps, with the perfect 2.5 inch heel {very 50's!} and a vintage coat I've had since high school. Add some red lips, Audrey hair and my specialty- winged liner {check my how-to here} and I had quite a vintage look going...
FASHION OF THE 1950's
It was my friend Lauren of The Sphinx & The Milky Way's birthday this past Saturday night. She had the most amazing 1950's themed cocktail party. Everyone looked so great, I can't wait to share photos!
Don't you love 50's fashion? The ladies were all so glamorous and stylish. I love the full skirts, the gloves and hats, the red lips and nails and high-waisted everything...

J. CREW STYLE INSPIRATION
It seems lately, more than any magazine, the J. Crew catalog has been delivering some serious fashion inspiration. It's the mixture of textures, colors, feminine, and tomboyish touches. Don't get me started on that perfect red lip, matching nails and the slightly messy hair. I can't stop looking at these photos! If only the J. Crew stylists could come over and style me everyday...

SNAPSHOTS FROM HALLOWEEN
This Halloween I dressed up not once but twice. At 3pm on Saturday afternoon I scrambled to figure out a costume. The boyfriend and I had decided to go as Ferris Bueller and Sloan ages ago, but we just couldn't get it together in time. I looked through my closet and knew I had some stuff to work with (e.g. long black gown, bandleader jacket), I just needed to get creative. Inspired by The Cherry Blossom Girl and Pandora, I turned myself in to two Disney villains, all with stuff I already had. I just needed a few accessories. A quick stop at the corner vintage store and Halloween store and voila'...

SWEET STYLE. PUMPKIN PATCH
The Boyfriend and I took a drive to the pumpkin patch in Pomona last Thursday. Yeah, we were a little late on the pumpkin train due to our recent travel. It was a gorgeous autumn day, except for the 80 degree weather. No, I did not dress appropriately. It was one of those days I just didn't feel like being photographed. I had more fun behind the camera, although James did manage to snap a few of me...

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
SWEET STYLE. 100 MAIN
I think I have a problem. I can't seem to part with my J. Crew tights, or any tights for that matter. I am forming outfits around them. The boyfriend and I went downtown the other day to snap a few shots and watch the first game of the world series (wish I cared about baseball). We stumbled upon this amazing textured wall outside the LAPD building...
